Antonio Conte has left Tanguy Ndombele out of his plans at Tottenham Hotspur and the player has been made to train alone in recent days.

Reports in England have discussed a possible swap deal involving AS Roma’s Jordan Veretout and the former Lyon man.

Gianluca Di Marzio relays these claims and adds ‘there was contact’ between Fabio Paratici and Roma chief Tiago Pinto, ‘but no further information followed’. The Serie A side just requested ‘simple information’ about the Frenchman.

The Giallorossi are not the only club in the picture for Ndombele as Paris Saint-Germain are also looking at him.

Roma took Sérgio Oliveira on loan from FC Porto and they must first ‘complete some exits’ before thinking of bringing another midfielder in during the winter market.

Over at Il Messaggero, they say the 25-year-old’s £10m per salary is ‘too much’ for Roma, especially considering he is out of Conte’s plans at Tottenham.

Ndombele joining Roma on loan could be the ‘right move’ for them to bolster their midfield for the second half of the season. The player has a ‘very good’ relationship José Mourinho, after ‘initial differences’ when the latter was at Tottenham.

Il Messaggero also explain an operation to sign a midfielder can only materialise with the sale of Amadou Diawara. His exit will not only free up the wage bill, but also make room in the squad.
