It’s now been a year since Richarlison made the move from Brazil to the Premier League, and outlet Sportv have managed a nice interview with the player.

After spending a season at Watford, the 21-year-old has now made a £35m (other figures are available) move to Everton, one of the club’s most expensive signings ever. But he claims to be calm about it.

“I’m cool,” Richarlison told Sportv. “I know my responsibility. Since I came to the professionals I already knew this responsibility. This is another step of mine. I’m definitely going to honour Everton’s shirt.

“I will play the football I played for the clubs I’ve been at and I will continue to give my life. I’m going to seek my goals: to reach the Brazilian national team, to play in the Champions League.”

Regarding this first year in England, Richarlison makes it clear that his biggest problem had been the different language, but little by little he’s having a good adaptation.

“I learned a lot. I already know a little of the language. I’m studying a lot, taking a heavy load on my studies, even to be able to take the three-year visa as well. To not stay in the rush. I came back from the vacation earlier so I could take the visa.

“I’m already able to ask for things. These days I stayed in Liverpool alone and got by with food and hotel. I can survive. When there’s no one near me, I find a way here.”

Sportv also asked Richarlison about his presence on social media, where he’s often making funny posts and interacting with fans.

“I think it’s cool. There on Twitter it’s myself. The press officer also has access to the account, but I use it the most. I keep chatting with the boys. I think they like it. They’re fans, right? You always have to pay attention, and I’m always playing with them. On a daily basis, I’m always smiling, joking and there I try to have some fun.”
