There’s a claim in the Turkish that Besiktas are again showing interest in Rangers defender Rıdvan Yılmaz.

The Turkey international has struggled with injury this season but has started for Philippe Clement’s side in the past three league games.

During the last transfer window, the left back was linked with a return to Besiktas after coming through their youth system. Besiktas were keen to bring in a left back in the final days of the Super Lig window but were unable to get a deal done with Rangers.

Yenicag Gazetesi today report the Black Eagles are still monitoring the situation with Yılmaz and that the 23-year-old is again on their agenda.

The Turkish media outlet say Rangers are open to offloading the player in this transfer window and that a loan move could be an option. There are no reports if the two clubs have entered into transfer talks at this stage.

Yılmaz has made just ten appearances for Rangers this season, due a hamstring injury he picked a few weeks into the campaign. He’s contracted to the Ibrox club until June 2027.
