TRT Spor claim West Ham United are set to sign Fenerbahce defender Hasan Ali Kaldirim after being linked with the player in recent days.
As covered by Ajansspor, TRT Spor claims West Ham will pay his €5m release clause and the player is set to join the Hammers at the end of the international break.
The Fenerbahce captain has just one year left on his current contract and it’s claimed he will now move to England to achieve his Premier League dream.
The player’s agent this week denied there was a buyout clause present, but made it clear he was referring to the official contract. Therefore it’s quite possible there’s a verbal agreement for the release amount.
Fotomac report West Ham have reached an agreement for the transfer, and they say the player will sign his contract ‘in the coming days’.
Kaldirim was one of the most criticised players at Fenerbahce in recent years but last season he was a standout performer in a poor season for the Super Lig club. Fener were involved in a relegation battle for most of the season but they turned it around in the final stages.
The left back scored 3 goals and made 5 assists in 41 appearances for Yellow Canaries in all competitions during the last campaign.
