There’s been various strange claims around Jota Silva this week, with some even saying a transfer to West Ham is pretty much agreed and the player has travelled to London.
Elsewhere, there were claims that Jota is simply on a break with his agent in London, and perhaps waiting for the Hammers to make their move for him.
Portuguese newspaper Record now dismiss that claim, and make it very clear Jota Silva is not in England.
Record state that regardless of what has been reported elsewhere, the Vitória de Guimarães player wasn’t in the English capital yesterday.
Whilst it’s hinted there may have been some contact from West Ham, it’s made very clear no offer has arrived at Vitória de Guimarães.
The Hammers aren’t the only club being linked, with Record saying there’s other Premier League clubs showing an interest and also links with sides from Spain, France, Germany and the Middle East.
Jota Silva has a €20m release clause in a contract running until 2025.
