Simone Zaza is facing a lot of criticism for his poor start at West Ham United. The Italian striker arrived with a big reputation during the summer from Juventus, but has failed to make an immediate impact.

Zaza has managed over 300 minutes of football so far this season, but hasn’t found the back of the net yet. However, it’s just not about goals, the 25-year-old’s all round performances have brought concern, both to West Ham fans and some in Italy.

Zaza has shown some signs of improvement, but it seems the die has already been cast for the Italian media on the idea of a quick return.  According to claims in Italy, Zaza is now facing an uncertain future at West Ham United.

Premium Sports (via TMW) report Zaza could be back in Italy, and is on the radar of AC Milan.

West Ham have reportedly signed Zaza for a €5m loan fee, and have a mandatory purchase option of €20m, if the striker plays a certain number of games, and another €3m in bonuses related to further achievements.

There was a similar report earlier on Tuesday from Calciomercato, and it’s no surprise to see the Italian media running with the idea. Zaza transfer rumours filled many Italian column inches for a year before his transfer to West Ham, and they want their story back.
