Struggling for game time during the second half of the season with LB Châteauroux this season, Haissem Hassan isn’t having the season many expected him to.
However, that hasn’t put off potential suitors in his services, like Watford, who allegedly made an offer for him, as reported back in August and then October.
Few details were revealed by L’Equipe at the time, and that hasn’t really changed, but it appears there could be more interest from the Hornets for the attacking midfielder.
The French newspaper explain in their Friday edition that Hassan, who has a ‘rare talent for one on one situations’, was ‘solicited’ by both Watford and Valencia in the summer and ‘will be solicited again’ in the upcoming transfer window.
With Châteauroux in Ligue 2 and not exactly blessed with unlimited finances, it remains to be seen how much they will ask for the 18-year-old, but we can’t see it being an exorbitant figure.
We’ll have to wait and see, but we doubt Watford have forgotten about him, especially if they liked him enough to make a bid over the past six months.
