Boca Juniors are interested in a move for Southampton striker Guido Carrillo, who is currently on loan at Leganés.
The Argentinian forward returned to the Spanish side for a second loan spell in the summer having also spent last year on loan with them.
He has managed just four goals and two assists so far this season but, despite that, there has been every indication that they would be happy to keep hold of him permanently.
That was the case in the summer, although Southampton’s asking price for heir once record signing made that impossible.
He recently admitted that he was left ‘hurt’ by their actions, adding that his future is very much in Southampton’s hands.
According to TodoMercadoWeb, the 28-year-old is ‘in the sight’ of Boca Juniors as they are ‘looking’ for a striker this summer.
That’s all the information the website has to offer on the matter; there’s no mention of an asking price, what they’ll look to spend or anything of that nature, just that the interest is there.
Should they make a move, they will likely find that Southampton will want a relatively big sum to sign him permanently.
They’ve been desperate to try and recoup as much of the £19.8m they paid to sign him in January 2018, although that may have changed after their previous failure to get an agreeable price.
