Remember that time when Mino Raiola and Alf-Inge Håland decided to take a little trip to Spain to visit Barcelona and Real Madrid?
Well, Mundo Deportivo, who reported the news, claimed their next stop would be England, where they were set to meet a host of Premier League clubs, including Manchester City and Manchester United.
Then, it all went very quiet, with little proof that the agent and Erling Haaland’s father actively met with the likes of Txiki Begiristain and Ed Woodward, but it allegedly happened.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who take a look at the young striker’s situation in an article on Raiola and his potential summer business, claiming that ‘Mino, together with the father of the Norwegian striker visited Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City and United’.
It’s then stated that only Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, perhaps the only two other clubs in the world who could afford the Borussia Dortmund star, were missing from what would have been a great tour.
So, if you take Gazzetta’s word for it, the super agent did sit down with Manchester United and Manchester City regarding Haaland and a potential move, although what was said isn’t revealed.
It may just be a formality to see if they were interested or how much they would be prepared to offer, but it appears to have happened.
