Here’s some exciting news for Tottenham Hotspur fans who are waiting for Lucas Bergvall to join the club.

The Djurgården youngster was highlighted by the Swedish media following his performance in the cup tie against Nordic Utd FC.

Outlet SVT features some comments made by Peter Backe in TV4 Play. Following Bergvall’s solo goal, the pundit came up with some interesting comparisons with a country legend.

“What kind of goal is that? The last little feint reminds me of a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic with a classic goal once upon a time,” said Backe.

Meanwhile, expert Erik Edman said: “What an incredible player this can be. The build-up to Hummet’s 3-0 was also magical. Tottenham probably feel they are pretty happy with this deal right now”.

Djurgarden beat Nordic United 5-0, and Bergvall was involved in three goals, with two goals and one assist.

The Swedish season is just getting started and the youngster is showing he’s ready for some great months there before leaving for Tottenham.

The local media never hides their excitement about the midfielder, and there’s been a lot of coverage of all his individual performances since the deal with Spurs got confirmed.

After beating Barcelona in the race for Bergvall, Tottenham only spent €10m to get him from Djurgarden.

Ange Postecoglou will certainly be excited to welcome him at the club this season, especially with all the hype the Swedish press has been making about the move.
