Positive news comes from Spain for Manchester City in Thursday’s edition of Marca. The Spanish newspaper have an article on Marlos Moreno, and calm earlier injury fears.
Moreno recently went down during a match against Granada with an injury, he was carried from the pitch on a stretcher, and there had been fears the youngster had broken his ankle. However, Marca explain that tests revealed the injury to be less serious than originally thought.
The Manchester City player didn’t go away on international duty with Colombia this time, but has already returned to training with Deportivo La Coruna, and is expected to be available for, and start, the club’s match against Sevilla at the weekend.
A serious injury would have set Moreno back further, and therefore been an issue for Manchester City.
The 20 year old hasn’t yet had the impact for Depor which the club expected, and he’s struggled to find the form which made Pep Guardiola’s club buy him from Nacional.
