Liverpool have Eintracht Frankfurt’s Willian Pacho and Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapié on their agenda for the summer window.
That’s according to journalist Christian Martin, relayed by El Futbolero, who says the two centre-back have attracted interest from several clubs, with ‘the Reds in particular’.
New Liverpool manager Arne Slot wants to sign a defender to play alongside Virgil van Dijk and this has seen the Merseyside club set their sights on the Ecuador international duo.
On April 17th, Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg stated the Premier League side have made contact over a potential deal for Pacho. He also stated Eintracht Frankfurt would need around €50-60m to sanction the 22-year-old’s sale in the next window.
Christian Martin now claims Liverpool ‘could pay’ €50m, without making it clear whether it’s for one of them or both. It’s quite possible that Liverpool are looking to sign Pacho or Hincapié, and could offer €50m to seal the deal.
Liverpool’s interest in the 22-year-old Bayer Leverkusen man isn’t new as they considered signing him, before changing their plans last summer. This was revealed by his agent Manuel Sierra last October.
Pacho has clocked in 4,000 minutes from 44 games for Eintracht Frankfurt, while Hincapié has played 2,617 minutes from 43 games this season.
