With the Italian media spending the entire season linking Chelsea full-back Emerson Palmieri to Serie A clubs, we couldn’t expect anything different now that the player is with the national team squad.
The 26-year-old today gave a press conference, and was once again quizzed about the chance of playing in Italy again.
Now after winning the Champions League with the Blues, he claims he’s not worried about a move this summer.
“For many months we have been talking about the market, about my return to Italy. Now I don’t even want to think about it”, said Palmieri.
“Really, I don’t care: I live in the present, play the European Championship and do everything to win it.”
It’s FC Inter News who covers the quotes, and Inter Milan are only one of the Serie A sides who’ve been linked to him.
Earlier today, we covered claims from newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport which said Napoli also have Palmieri in their agenda for the summer window.
The left-back only made 15 appearances for Chelsea this season, getting very little playing time since Thomas Tuchel took charge of the club. Reports from Italy say the Blues could let him go for only €5m.
