Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilón ‘will travel to London tomorrow’ to complete their transfers to Tottenham Hotspur, according to Marca.
Reports from Spain linked the Real Madrid duo with a move to Manchester United over the past week or so, but things started shifting in Spurs’ favour in the last 48 hours.
The forward will return to the north London club on a season-long loan deal and the left-back will join Spurs for €30m, with the La Liga winners retaining an option to buy him back for €40m over the next two years.
The agreement between the two clubs has already been reached for the defender’s transfer.
With regards to the Welshman, only ‘fringes’ need to be sorted out for him to complete a loan move to Tottenham.
Marca states ‘some pending issues’ between Bale and José Mourinho’s side are yet to be resolved. If there are no complications in negotiations between the two parties, the 31-year-old can be a new Tottenham player on Friday.
Bale and Reguilón arrived at Valdebebas today, and it will be their last day at Real Madrid as they will travel to London tomorrow.
Marca end their report by stating that both players must meet the quarantine rules set by the UK government to ‘enter their territory from Spain, an aspect that is also adding an added difficulty’.
