Last summer, when AC Milan won the race to sign Divock Origi, the Italian media couldn’t hide their excitement about the arrival of the former Liverpool player.
The striker was leaving the Reds at the end of his contract, and several clubs were interested in the opportunity to sign him for free.
Origi may have impressed Milan while at Liverpool, but couldn’t do the same since his arrival at the club. And according to Calcio Mercato, he could be set for an early exit this summer.
The outlet writes that the striker’s first year with the Rossoneri was ‘anything but exciting’, as he’s only scored two goals this season, and that’s why the club are ‘ready to listen to offers for him’.
Origi had many offers when leaving Liverpool, so he managed to push for a long contract with Milan, until 2026. Now the club want him sold and to get rid of that long commitment.
According to Calcio Mercato, the striker is ‘very popular’ in Turkey, where Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Alanyaspor have already made approaches. Other clubs are set to join the race, and the Rossoneri should listen to all of them.
