RB Leipzig may face some problems when lining up against Manchester United for the Champions League on Wednesday night.
As reported by Kicker today, the Bundesliga side could lose right-back Nordi Mukiele due to a thigh injury picked up at the weekend.
The 22-year-old is set for further examination today, but for now, there’s a real risk he’ll be missed for the trip to Manchester.
With six appearances this season, Mukiele had been an important piece for RB Leipzig, and should now become a problem for manager Julian Nagelsmann.
RB Leipzig should also lack Konrad Laimer and Lukas Klostermann, both injured, and Amadou Haidara, who’s in quarantine after testing positive for Covid.
On the other hand, Kicker reports that the Bundesliga side should have two players back in the squad.
One of them is Kevin Kampl, who had problems at the weekend fixture, but has been training normally.
Meanwhile, Tyler Adams, who had been absent on Saturday, is now recovering from a ligament injury and should submit to a late test before the Champions League clash against Manchester United.
