We thought we’d covered just about every possible Spanish media tangent on Denis Suarez to Arsenal, but now Marca have quite a different take on the situation.

The Spanish newspaper claim Raül Sanllehi is proving to be an ‘obstacle’ standing in the way of the deal.

That’s not because he doesn’t want to sign Denis or that he’s being too tough in negotiations… Marca explain it’s because Barcelona don’t like their former employee.

Sanllehi hasn’t left a ‘good memory’ at the Camp Nou, and it’s made people in the ‘offices’ at Barcelona ‘want to destroy’ the potential transfer.

That seems rather dramatic and goes against the previous claims of Barca trying to be as flexible as they can to help their player move to the Gunners.

Marca say one of the reasons people at the Catalan club are so annoyed with Sanllehi is his role in the Neymar transfers, both when he joined Barcelona and when he left for PSG.

This one is a little hard to believe.
