Last month, Rangers parted ways with Philippe Clement and appointed Barry Ferguson as interim manager until the end of the season.
Rangers have to appoint a permanent manager for next season, but that doesn’t seem to stop them from identifying potential targets for the summer window.
İstanbulspor’s Gaoussou Kyassou Diarra has ended up on Rangers’ agenda. That’s at least what Africa Foot are reporting, and they cover the interest shown by multiple clubs.
He joined the Turkish club from Beykoz Anadoluspor last summer and managed nine goals and an assist from 27 games this season.
The winger’s performances for the second division Turkish club have seen him attract interest from Galatasaray, Beşiktas and Fenerbahçe. He’s also ‘coveted’ by Lille, and they are closely following his ‘exceptional season’ with İstanbulspor.
There are other clubs in the picture to sign the 20-year-old as Africa Foot state the Milan is ‘wanted’ by Rangers and Schalke. His contract lasts until 2029 and Transfermarkt value him at €700,000.
Gaoussou Kyassou Diarra has told Africa Foot that there are clubs following him, without revealing their details.
“Yes, there are clubs that follow me, but nothing concrete for the moment,” he said.
Rangers would face competition to sign Gaoussou Kyassou Diarra in the next window.
