Vaclav Cerny is ‘on the verge’ of joining Glasgow Rangers, with a loan deal to add him to Philippe Clement’s squad now agreed with Wolfsburg.

That’s according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who reports that the winger will be given the green light to join Rangers this week.

Clement has been busy shaping his squad to his suiting this summer already, with several new faces already arriving to replace those who have departed.

The latest of those set to move to Ibrox appears to be Cerny, with Plettenberg reporting that a deal has now been struck with Wolfsburg for the 26-year-old.

According to his information, Cerny is ‘on the verge’ of moving to Ibrox, with a loan deal now agreed and the German club set to give the green light for it to go ahead.

He provides no details on the loan deal, so it’s unclear if Rangers are paying a fee, having an option to make the move permanent or what percentage of the player’s wages they will be paying either.

We’re sure those details will be revealed sooner rather than later, though, with an agreement now in place and all parties presumably looking to finalise as soon as possible.
