Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has spoken to the Colombian press on his arrival to the United States for the next national team matches.

The 22-year-old talked to several outlets at the same time, so it’s impossible to know who was he answering in each question. Website Winsports has gathered some of the quotes, though.

Regarding the start of the season for Rangers, Morelo said: “I did a great last season and started this one well. I hope to continue scoring goals.”

He claimed that manager Steven Gerrard has been helping him a lot at the club: “It’s a motivation, we all know what he did. He has a lot of confidence in me and I have answered him in the best way. He also advises me a lot and is very aware of me.”

“I have always had a positive mentality and I always thought about doing things well.”

Regarding the current climate in the United States, Morelos has claimed that it’s no problem for someone who’s been living in the United Kingdom: “I’m not worried because it rains a lot in Scotland, then it doesn’t create difficulty for me”.

Morelos was also asked if there’s a league he looks forward to playing in: “I like the Premier League, I try to improve every day and keep growing.”

Alfredo Morelos is having a very good start to the season with Rangers, with six goals and two assists in 13 matches. If he keeps up this form, he should outdo his first season for the Scottish Premiership club, in which he had 18 goals and eight assists in 43 games.
