After spending last season on loan from Köln, Serhou Guirassy was purchased by Amiens in Ligue 1 for £5.4m.

Clearly thrilled at the trust placed in him, the former France U20 international has tried to repay his club as best he can with four goals in 13 appearances so far this season, and his efforts have been appreciated by a number of scouts, including Rangers in Scotland.

According to Courrier Picard in France, the striker has attracted some attention from around Europe, with scouts from Steven Gerrard’s side and Espanyol in Spain ‘regularly observing’ Guirassy this season.

Despite being under contract until 2022, the forward could be set to leave, as the local newspaper explain Amiens ‘could lose one or two players during the winter transfer market’.

Those mentioned are Colombian midfielder Steven Mendoza, with clubs in France, Spain and Italy looking at him, followed by the aforementioned Guirassy.

Something to think about amid all the speculation surrounding the future of Alfredo Morelos, who recently made it clear he would like to leave Ibrox if the opportunity arose in search of a bigger challenge.
