Rangers’ Ianis Hagi has told Digi Sport that he’s unsure of staying with Philippe Clement’s side for next season.

The Romania international has to return to Rangers after spending the recently concluded season on loan at Deportivo Alavés.

The attacking midfielder clocked in 997 minutes from 26 games for the La Liga side, scoring two goals and registering two assists in the process. The Rangers man had lost prominence at Alavés this year as he made only nine appearances in 2024.

His current deal at Rangers lasts until 2026, and the 25-year-old’s immediate focus is on the Euros with the national team.

After Romania’s goalless draw in the friendly tie against Bulgaria on Tuesday, Hagi spoke to Digi Sport about his future plans.

The Rangers man has told his representatives to find a solution, after suggesting that he could leave Clement’s side in the summer window.

“My focus is on the Euros. I’ve had talks with agents, that’s normal, but the pressure is on them. They know what I want for my future, it’s a pretty important summer for me from all points of view,” he said.

“I told them before I went to the national team what I want, I’m waiting for them to do their best work, to find the right team and coach for me. I can’t say if I’ll be at Rangers or somewhere else. My future depends on my agents.”

According to the latest claims from the Romanian press, new Fenerbahçe manager José Mourinho has included the Rangers player in his target list for the summer window. The Turkish press have relayed this, but there hasn’t been anything concrete yet to back it up.
