There’s a claim in the Turkish media, Besiktas have pulled out of the race to sign Ranger’s defender Rıdvan Yılmaz due to the Ibrox club’s demands.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from Philippe Clement’s team following reports of interest from his former club.
Ajan Spor today report Besiktas have been in talks with Rangers with regards to signing the Turkish full back. There have been recent claims the player would be interested in a return to his home country after missing out on Turkey’s Euro 2024 squad.
However, it’s claimed transfer talks between the two clubs have ended negatively because Rangers want €5m for Yılmaz. Besiktas had sold the player to Rangers for €4m in 2022 and they believe the demand of €5m is too high.
Subsequently the Super Lig have turned to alternatives and Roma’s Leonardo Spinazzola has now become a target. The Italian’s contract with the Serie A side expires at the end of the month.
Yılmaz made 33 appearances for Rangers last season, scoring two goals. He’s contracted to the Glasgow club until June 2027.
