Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst has admitted he would love to come up against compatriot Phillip Cocu in Scotland.
Van Bronckhurst has been a big hit at Ibrox since arriving to replace Steven Gerrard in November when he left to join Aston Villa.
He currently enjoys a record of 25 wins and just five defeats in 37 games in all competitions and has led Rangers to the Europa League final, where they will take on Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Dutchman is only one of three non-British managers currently managing in Scotland’s top-flight alongside Celtic’s Ange Postecoglou and Aberdeen’s Jim Goodwin.
That could soon be about to change, though, with Van Bronckhorst’s fellow Dutchman and former teammate, Phillip Cocu having been linked with a move to take over at Hibernian, who are currently managed by caretaker boss David Gray.
He was first linked at the end of April, and the Rangers boss would be more than happy were Cocu to take charge at Easter Road.
”I would like to compete against Phillip again,” Van Bronkhorst told Rondo, relayed by FC Update.
“Of course, it was a while ago. We have been through so much together. Phillip was always the one who sent you an email, and I appreciate that.
“We have had great times as players and colleagues, but we also had the chance to fight each other in the Netherlands.
“It would be great to see Phillip back at work, and Scotland would be even better.”
