Newcastle United’s recent form is being hailed by the Spanish press today.

The club’s 6-0 win over Preston North End was first praised by AS, who go through a lot of stats to show how well Rafa Benitez has been doing in England.

Calling their story “Rafa Benitez’ incredible numbers at Newcastle”, they show the manager is doing very well in the fight for promotion and that he’s now the second manager in 40 years to reach the League Cup quarter finals for the club.

But Sport go further, calling Benítez “the King of Newcastle” and saying the manager is “untouchable” at the club.

The big highlight of their story goes to Newcastle’s impressive attendance in the Championship, putting the club between the top six in England.

After two defeats in the start of the season, Sport mentions Benítez’s growth with the team has led them to their current unbeaten run, which is already eight games long.

With his previous job being manager of Real Madrid, Benítez is still a very big figure in the Spanish press, so we shall see much attention is given to the Magpies in case they keep impressing under the 56-year-old manager.
