Last week, AS Roma confirmed Monchi has left the club, and even before his exit from the Serie A side he has heavily linked with Arsenal.

The Gunners manager Unai Emery has worked with the Spaniard when the two were at Sevilla.

On March 9th, Marca reported the pair would not have any problem to work together again and the north London club have made a ‘good offer’ for the sporting director. It was also reported any decision on Monchi’s future will ‘probably not bear fruit until this summer’.

Radio Marca now say Sevilla have made contact with him to propose a return to the club, as they do not want to lose time on preparing a plan for the next season following their elimination from the Europa League.

The 50-year-old is not short of options as there are mutliple clubs ‘very interested’ in his services and Arsenal once again get a mention.

So far, Monchi has not given an answer to Sevilla, but he is ‘very seriously’ considering the possibility of returning to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Radio Marca claims there could be more developments on this in the coming hours.
