West Ham United and Everton are keeping tabs on Bologna’s Mattias Svanberg, according to claims coming out of Italy.
The 23-year-old has operated mainly in the centre of the pitch this season, while he was also used i attacking and defensive midfield positions on a few occasions. He has three goals and two assists from 29 league matches.
Svanberg has over a year left on his contract with the Serie A side. Towards the end of last month, the Sweden international insisted he is “no hurry” to decide on his future at the club.
According to Sport Mediaset, the versatile midfielder is now ‘followed’ by AC Milan, David Moyes’ side and the Toffees. The report further adds Svanberg ‘could leave’ the Italian club after this season.
With West Ham, Everton and Milan looking at Svanberg and the possibility of him leaving Bologna in the summer, the ‘race opens’ for the Swede.
Bologna could look to cash in on Svanberg in the next window, if he refuses to commit his long-term future beyond this campaign.
