As Red Bull Salzburg get ready to see some stars go over the next two windows, their local newspaper Salzburger Nachrichten has taken a look at the situation.
Both Erling Haaland and Takumi Minamino are widely expected to leave, but their situations are very different.
Whilst Haaland has been strongly linked with Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund, Red Bull Salzburg’s local media belies RB Leipzig is currently the club in the best position to complete a deal.
When it comes to Minamino, there’s only one club mentioned, and it’s no surprise that’s Liverpool. Salzburger Nachrichten take it as a fact that the player will be off to Anfield in January to become part of Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
Unlike for Haaland, there’s no competition mentioned when it comes to Minamino, and no clubs presented as trying to scupper Liverpool’s move for the player.
It doesn’t appear that’s because he’s not highly thought of, just that the Reds got in there before anyone else could really get going.
