Queens Park Rangers and Club Brugge are ‘expected’ to find an agreement over forward Bright Osayi-Samuel in a ‘matter of days’.
That’s according to Het Laatste Nieuws, who say the two clubs have been locked in negotiations over the 22-year-old for some time.
The newspaper states that a deal is still ‘open’, but it seems a matter of days before an agreement over an asking price will be fond.
QPR and Brugge are said to be conducting ‘far-reach negotiations’ over the forward, who has five goals and nine assists in 36 Championship games this season.
The current sticking point is over the fee, with QPR looking for €5.5m, a figure that Brugge consider to be on the high side at this moment in time.
They are working to bring that down, although English sources say a bid of €3.4m has already been rejected.
Nonetheless, both parties are expected to find an agreement soon, and Osayi-Samuel has already convinced himself over a move to Belgium.
All indications are that a move will happen sooner rather than later as he was left out of the matchday selection for this weekend yesterday.
Indded, it’s believed he could travel to Belgium to undergo a medical today.
Brugge are eyeing up the deal, which ‘fits perfectly within the transfer policy’ as they hunt replacements for Emmanuel Dennis and Krépin Diatta, who are both expected to leave the club this summer.
