On Monday, we covered news from the Netherlands that PSV had dropped Ki-Jana Hoever from their squad to face Rangers this week. Instead of travelling to Glasgow, the Wolves owned defender is set to train with the club’s youth side.
There’s been concern about his level, and he’s been repeatedly questioned in the Dutch media since arriving at the Eredivisie side.
Whilst that loan from Wolves appears to be going terribly, another is going very well.
Fabio Silva signed for Wolves last summer in a record deal, yet wasn’t able to make his mark with the Premier League club. Sent out on loan to Anderlecht for the current campaign, he’s been impressing fans and media in Belgium.
The 20-year-old has five goals and two assists in six matches so far this season.
Marc Degryse, a well known former footballer and current pundit in Belgium, has covered the Wolves player in his Tuesday column for HLN. He states Silva is ‘pure beauty’ and the best finisher Anderlecht have had at the club in recent seasons.
Given how well he’s doing it’s thought he’ll only be at the club for the one campaign.
Degryse adds ‘at some point he will be so good that he will become indispensable’ for Anderlecht.
