The French media today reveals Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in signing Rennes attacker Martin Terrier.
Foot Mercato report Spurs are ‘seduced’ by the player, who has an impressive record of 21 goals and seven assists so far this season.
His success at the French side had already received attention from Italy, where the local media had reported interest from Napoli.
Now Foot Mercato says that according to their information, Tottenham are ‘very fond’ of the player, and ‘a proposal was sent’ to him.
There isn’t, however, a response from Rennes just yet.
Terrier recently insisted he’s ‘happy’ at his club, despite acknowledging that his performances have been drawing attention from many places.
“We’ll see how it goes at the end of the season,” he said in a recent interview with Prime Video.
Protected by a contract running until 2025, the 25-year-old is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €16m, but would likely cost a lot more than that amount. He can play across the attack, and has featured mainly on the left wing and as a centre forward this season.
Foot Mercato say Tottenham ‘attack’ the player, and like him a lot’.
