Napoli have Mario Vušković on their radar ahead of the summer window, but they face competition from elsewhere, including from Celtic.
The Scottish Premiership side may not know who their manager is going to be for the coming season, but are seemingly already making plans for the future, with John Kennedy currently in charge at the Glasgow club.
Area Napoli takes a look at their local club’s interest in Vušković, and Celtic are brought into the picture. It’s stated the 19-year-old defender, who currently plays for Hajduk Split, is one of the stars of Croatia’s U21 set-up.
‘A proposal was made by Celtic’ to sign him, however, it wasn’t enough to please his current club, who returned the offer to sender. Torino and Fiorentina have also made efforts, with the suggestion the attempts, including that from Celtic, have seen offers worth around €4-5m.
That clearly isn’t enough and Napoli would have to go higher if they’re to have a chance of beating the competition and getting a deal done.
