Much like Joël Ngoya, Noah Fatar looks set to leave Lille’s youth teams to try his luck elsewhere, and much like Joël Ngoya, Everton were interested to give him that opportunity.
This is reported by France Football on Monday, who explain the 18-year-old will swap the Ligue 1 side for another in Angers, and will travel in the coming hours to undergo his medical ahead of the move.
Described as a ‘true disappointment’ for Lille, the youngster’s exit is another blow to the French club, who had high hopes for the forward.
Set to sign a three-year contract with Angers before slowly integrating their first-team, Fatar also ‘had an offer from Everton’, who continue to scout France for good opportunities to complement their new ambitious plans and vision under Marcel Brands.
The player showcased his ability this season in the Youth League, where he notably scored and assisted the two goals in the 2-0 win over Chelsea before scoring the winner in a 1-0 victory over Valencia.
It’s a shame for Everton, but perhaps Fatar felt he had more of a chance of getting first-team football at Angers in the near future than he did at Goodison Park.
