Richarlison was one of the new faces to arrive at Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
After coming off the bench during last month’s matches, Antonio Conte handed the forward his first start in Spurs’ 2-1 win over Fulham on September 3rd.
Since then, the Brazil international started all of Tottenham’s games. He has managed two goals and two assists from eight appearances in all competitions.
The ex-Everton man extended his club form during the international break as he scored a brace in Brazil’s 3-0 win over Ghana. He also found the back of the net in the Seleção’s 5-1 win against Tunisia in Paris.
After the latest friendly tie, the Tottenham attacker sent a message to those who criticise him.
”My charge in the last game was more because of that. It seems that there’s nobody upfront, there’s no 9,” Richarlison said, as quoted by ESPN Brasil.
“Every time I come here I score my goals. It seems that people from Brazil do not see us there in Europe. We work hard there too, do our serious work there, score goals. And that’s why I got to the selection. It’s about staying focused.”
Richarlison is confident he can further improve his game under the orders of Conte manager at Tottenham.
”I’m on the right track. Of course, I still need to improve things, and Professor Conte will fix my mistakes there,” he added.
This comment on Conte comes a few days after the player admitted the Italian played a key role in his decision to join Tottenham.
