In the past few days, we’ve seen a little drama during Besiktas’ chase for Brentford striker Halil Dervisoglu.
Reports from the Turkish media explained that despite an agreement with the Bees for the transfer, the Istanbul side were having problems agreeing the player’s new contract.
That has been sorted, though, as Fanatik journalist Gokmen Ozan features an update on the future of the Brentford player.
On Twitter, the reporter claims that the problem between Besiktas and Dervisoglu ‘has been resolved’, and the player is indeed moving to Turkey this summer.
There’s no new information on the deal with Brentford, so it seems like the agreement is on for the striker to leave the Bees for a €2m fee, with the English side keeping 25% of a future sale.
Now regarding Dervisoglu’s salary, it had previously been said that he was demanding €1m per year, with Besiktas offering €750k.
It remains to be seen whether the player accepted to drop their demands, or if the Turkish club ended up accepting it to get the signing done once for all.
