Franck Kessie will be linked with a move to the Premier League until he arrives in England’s top division or retires.
The rumours have been around for years, and Wolves have been the club most linked with the midfielder in recent months. There were claims of a potential summer move, but Kessie remained with AC Milan, so naturally the plan now changes to January.
Torino’s Daniele Baselli is the man who has been indentified as a replacement for Kessie, with the idea being a Premier League club would pay a big fee to Milan, and then the Rossoneri would spend part of that taking the Granata man.
TorinoGranata have taken a look at the situation, and they believe that had the English market continued until the end of August then ‘most probably Wolves’ would have been able to ‘seal the deal’ for Kessie.
Over at Calciomercato they report the player’s future ‘remains in the balance’ and he can ‘return to the sights’ of AS Monaco and Wolves for the January window. Milan Live also state he was ‘very close’ to leaving during the summer, ‘first at Wolves, then Monaco’.
This rumour isn’t going away, and it seems clear AC Milan are keen on some more of Nuno Espirito Santo’s transfer budget.
