Tottenham defender Kevin Danso has admitted he will probably go with an Adele number for his initiation song this summer.

Kronen Zeitung have an interview with the Tottenham defender today, in which he admits he will probably turn to the famous singer, because he believes she’s a Tottenham fan anyway.

Danso is set to join Tottenham on a permanent basis in the summer, with them electing to activate a €25m purchase clause from Lens. He joined Ange Postecoglou’s side on loan in the January transfer window.

He’s been in and out of the side since largely due to injuries but featured from the bench in the Europa League final win over Manchester United and has seemingly convinced Spurs enough to make him a permanent signing this summer.

That means he faces the now standard initiation ceremony with his new side, with most clubs having new players stand up and sing in front of their teammates.

That’s not something Danso will be looking forward to as he admits he’s not a great singer, but he already has one artist lined up in case he does.

“Probably something by Adele, she’s a Spurs fan,” he said when asked which song he’ll be picking.

Can you sing? the newspaper then asked him. “No, not at all, but I like to sing. I even have a karaoke machine at home,” he responded.

Fortunately, that will only be one minor discomfort for Danso, who admits he is loving life at the club and in London in general.

“Yes, I love it. There’s a lot to do here, there’s always something going on. I just can’t handle the traffic jams,” he added.

“I feel good; for me, it’s like returning to my second home. I always give my all; the fans love me. Of course, the competition is fierce, that’s normal at such a big club. But I’ve had a difficult season, I only arrived in the winter, and I’ll fight for my jersey.”
