There’s an awful lot of noise around Jules Kounde moving from Sevilla to Chelsea, despite some Spanish sources insisting the clubs haven’t even spoken to each other yet.

That wouldn’t be hugely unusual, with clubs often reaching personal agreements and then tentatively talking via agents before getting down to the real business.

Kounde moving to Chelsea could trigger multiple other transfers, and that’s covered by Diario de Sevilla. The Spanish newspaper believes the French defender moving to Stamford Bridge is now ‘probable’, which is certainly an optimistic way of looking at the situation.

They state that move could then be part of a ‘three-way negotiation’ which would see Davinson Sanchez exchange Tottenham for Sevilla, after Kurt Zouma has potentially signed for Spurs.

So a complicated situation, and one of the dominoes needs to fall first to set the others off, Diario de Sevilla clearly feel it’ll happen in Chelsea’s favour.

However, they may need the Zouma funds first to reach the amount Sevilla want for Kounde, with the Chelsea defender not thought to be keen on being part of the deal for his compatriot.
