Kevin Malcuit is increasingly looking like one of West Ham’s primary targets for the summer transfer window. Making offers of €8m and €10m for the player during January, West Ham have already informed those involved that they intend to try again in a few months.

It’s also been explained that West Ham are keeping a close eye on Malcuit, and they’re not the only club interested. Should Malcuit be keen on impressing West Ham then he’ll hope they weren’t watching his match on Sunday.

Saint Etienne drew 2-2 at home to Metz, and French newspaper L’Equipe have picked Malcuit out as their ‘flop of the match’ and awarded him a rather paltry 3 out of 10.

L’Equipe explain that Malcuit struggled against Ismail Sarr defensively, and wasn’t able to get forward as much as he usually does. Malcuit was also at least partly to blame for Metz’s second goal.

Of course, not everything can be judged upon one match, but West Ham will be hoping to see more 7+/10s from Malcuit between now and the end of the season.
