A week ago, we covered the initial reports from Spain which said Newcastle United are interested in Real Valladolid fullback Iván Fresneda.
Those claims were soon backed up in Italy, where it was confirmed that the strongest chase for the player was coming from the Premier League, and the La Liga side would demand a minimum of €15m to let the youngster go.
It turns out that as the battle for Fresneda continues to be reported, that price seems to be growing.
The story, however, claims that the price for his signing is now around €30m. They point out that just a few months ago, he was ‘just worth a million euros’, and ‘the market dictates the prices’ as usual.
There’s no information of bids made for the youngster for now, as Newcastle and others are only said to be ‘watching’ him. But the more his price grows, it’s likely that some of those clubs soon start giving up on the competition.
