Juventus star Paulo Dybala could follow Fabio Paratici to Tottenham this summer, having only joined Juve because of the Italian.
That’s according to former Palermo president Rino Foschi, who believes Spurs have a chance of securing the Argentine’s signature.
Dybala is out of contract with Juventus this summer, and it was revealed yesterday that he is set to leave on a free transfer after talks over a new deal broke down.
That set in motion a race for his signature, with several big clubs in Europe all, thought to be keen on his signature.
Tottenham are one of those known to be interested, courtesy of director of football Fabio Paratici, who signed Dybala from Palermo in a £36.9m transfer back in 2015.
He was a key part of that deal, and Foschi believes that could prove key in Tottenham’s hopes of pulling off one of the major deals of the summer transfer window.
“I feel sorry for Dybala, but I also understand Juve because the story was going on too long,” FC Inter News report him saying.
“For me, he is not worn out or finished, he is a mature but quite fragile boy, but his fragility starts from afar.
“He has paid more than others for this moment that has lasted for a while. What advice would I give the Argentine? I offered him to Inter, but then he went to Juventus because Paratici wanted him so badly.
“Maybe it’s the right time to become Nerazzurri, but Paratici wanted him badly so he could follow him to the Premier League.”
