On Monday, Mohamed Salah revealed he’s more ‘out’ than ‘in’ at Liverpool and his comments raised eyebrows , as they were no doubt intended to do.
The Egyptian claimed he’s not been offered a new deal by Arne Slot’s side, with his current contract set to run out at the end of the season.
It seems as if many clubs in Europe are excited at the prospect of signing Salah on a free transfer. One of those clubs is Inter Milan.
SpazioInter have reported that Nerazzurri president Beppe Marotta is always keen on signing players of a high quality for a low fee or on free transfers. He is said to be ‘ready to rush’ and land 32-year-old Salah, if he doesn’t sign a new deal at Liverpool.
The Italian champions are interested in the Reds hero, who would also ‘appreciate’ the idea of playing for Inter and would be quite happy to return to Italy in the summer… at least according to the claims.
The only problem in the move would be Salah’s wages as he earns over €11m a season at Liverpool. He would have to take a wage cut to join Simone Inzaghi’s side, even on a free transfer.
