According to a claim in the Swedish media, interest from the Premier League and Bundesliga has increased for Djurgarden defender Felix Beijmo.

The 20 year old has been linked with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers after talks in January.

Fotboll Direkt report clubs from the English and German top flights are ready to offer Beijmo’s valuation, said to be in the region of 20m Krona (£1.7m).

The Swedish football outlet report Wolves had tried to sign the Swede in the last transfer window, but the deal collpased towards deadline day.

Speaking to Fotboll Direkt about the interest from other clubs Djurgarden, sporting director Bosse Andersson said: “We know his value and we know what we want. He’s an incredible player we’re talking about so it’s clear that interest is great for him.

“It is true that we were in talks in January with Wolverhampton and we know there is still Premier League interest for him.”

The Premier League clubs interested in the fullback haven’t be revealed, but it makes sense if Wolves are considering a new attempt having tried and failed just a few months ago.

With Wolves expanding their scouting network in Scandinavia it would be no surprise if the Championship champions have continued to monitor Beijmo given the work they put in to sign him in January.
