Manchester City have no chance of signing Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix and he is ‘untouchable’ at the Spanish club.
That’s according to Marca, who say there is no other word to describe the Portuguese star’s status at the Wanda Metropolitano.
The newspaper explains that ‘it doesn’t matter’ who the interested party in Felix is, even if that club is Pep Guardiola’s ‘powerful’ Manchester City.
The Citizens, alongside Barcelona, both looked at Felix last summer but were quickly sent packing by Atletico Madrid who have no interest in letting him go.
Marca explain if you ask Diego Simeone’s side about a ‘possible escape’ in the January transfer market they will tell you the player is ‘untouchable’.
They have been ‘expressing’ that since his arrival in 2019 and nothing has changed two years later, even if there are some doubts about him parts of the fanbase.
Those close to the player aren’t talking about any possible moves either, insisting they are not angry about his lack of ‘prominence’ in the team.
Even in those ‘moments of doubt’ there are no ‘doubts’ from the player or Atletico Madrid. Felix is untouchable and nothing will change that, even if Manchester City were to flash the cash.
