Trabzonspor’s pursuit of Everton’s Oumar Niasse is progressing well as the Turkish side look to bring in a forward claim Fanatik. The Everton attacker was linked with a move to Turkey in the summer, but a move never materialised.
Niasse has fallen out of favour at Everton, and hasn’t played for the Merseyside club this season. Everton manager Ronald Koeman recently stated any players wanting to leave can do if they aren’t getting games under him.
Trabzonspor’s under-pressure manager Ersun Yanal reportedly told the president Muharrem Usta: “Signing a striker must be our No1 priority at the January window. A good striker will upgrade the team massively and Niasse is that sort of good striker.”
Whilst Koeman and Everton fans may raise an eyebrow to that claim, in Turkey they have better memories of Niasse.
Usta and his transfer staff are now ready to up their interest in Niasse as the Senegalese international is seen as the ideal type of forward Trabzonspor needs.
Trabzonspor are also considering signing former Fulham and Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega, but the 31-year old’s club Akhisar Belediyespor aren’t so keen to sell their star player. The club known as Karadeniz Fırtınası are also looking at Ludogoret’s Cafu.
Everton’s asking price, both for a permanent deal or a loan, has caused some worry in Turkey, and Koeman’s club may have to adjust their demands.
