The Croatian media have been following Slaven Bilic’s woes at West Ham United, just like they followed the opposite last season.
A week ago Croatian newspaper 24Sata reported that there’s a cloud hanging over West ham since the stadium move, and that Bilic hadn’t been able to help transfer the optimism of last season, and changing stadiums, into the current campaign.
24Sata explained West Ham’s ‘euphoria has been replaced by depression’, and the ‘magic that was found in the Boleyn Ground, Slaven Bilic definitely hasn’t brought to the new Olympic Stadium’.
In their Tuesday edition, 24Sata tend to side with English reports of a possible exit coming soon if Bilic can’t turn things around.
That’s been the worry in the Croatian media for a while, largely due to West Ham’s big expectations for this season and the poor atmosphere around the club.
On Monday, the same newspaper had a rather big feature, and conceded that ‘SuperSlav’ is ‘completely lost’ at West Ham right now.
The Croatian report says West Ham’s team is broken and Bilic hasn’t looked so helpless since he was at Lokomotiv Moscow.
