Leicester City star Kasper Schmeichel has less than 12 months left on his deal and recent reports have placed him close to OGC Nice.
Faced with the possibility of losing the Denmark international this summer, recent reports have seen the Foxes being credited with an interest in a few goalkeepers.
Benfica’s Odysseas Vlachodimos has been named as one of the targets for Leicester. The Eagles, meanwhile, are showing interest in Vladan Kovačević, who is currently plying his trade for Polish side Raków Częstochowa.
Kovačević has now revealed the Portuguese club are one of the sides interested in his services. His comments are relayed by Jornal de Notícias, who state his arrival depends on Vlachodimos leaving Roger Schmidt’s side.
At the moment, the newspaper states Benfica have not received any proposals for the 28-year-old.
With regards to Leicester, Jornal de Notícias explain the possibility of Brendan Rodgers’ side signing Vlachodimos not yet evolved.
Meanwhile, the Leicester manager has addressed the reports of the Greece international being linked to the Premier League side.
“Obviously, there’s a lot of speculation around. There’s a lot of calls going to the clubs. Like I said, it’s all speculation at the moment. Currently we have good keepers here and we prepare to have those here. If we need to do something in the market, then we will assess that later on,” Rodgers told Eleven Sports, relayed by Zerozero.pt.
