Nikola Vlašić’s struggles at West Ham United last campaign saw the Premier League side send him out on loan to Torino in the summer transfer window.
The attacking midfielder enjoyed a good start to this season, scoring three goals in the first five league matches.
Torino retain an option to make the West Ham owned player’s stay permanent for around €15m and reports had stated his earlier performances had convinced them to exercise it at the end of this season.
Vlašić has not managed to find the back of the next for the Italian club since September 5th, but despite his dry spell for over a month, Toro News now explain that ‘positive signals aren’t lacking’ from him.
The Croatia international’s overall statistics are at the top as he is sixth in Serie A for key passes and 15th for average kilometres [10.83] covered in the league.
In other words, the Hammers man’s data underlines his importance for Torino, even when he is not able to score goals or set up his teammates.
This is likely to come as an encouragement for West Ham, who are reportedly planning to earn €15m through Vlašić’s sale, and this doesn’t change anything in the Italian club’s eyes when it comes to triggering that option.
