Paris Saint-Germain’s Vitinha could take the next step in his career by making a move to Liverpool or Arsenal.
That’s at least what Portuguese journalist Paulo Pinto believes, and he explains why the 25-year-old is worthy of a move to Liverpool or Arsenal in his column for A Bola.
The midfielder joined PSG from FC Porto in June 2022 and cemented his place under Luis Enrique’s orders. Despite operating from a deeper role, he contributed eight goals from 43 games this season.
Pinto says the Portugal international has become one of the top three players in the world in his position.
On February 7th, the Ligue 1 winners rewarded him with a new contract until 2029 and made him one of the top earners at the clubs. According to Pinto, he and his family are happy with their life in Pairs.
The journalists believe Vitinha has grown so much that PSG are now smaller for him.
He states: ‘At 25 years old, Vitinha is at the peak of his career, comfortable financially and sportingly, but he is clearly a player for a bigger club. It is [PSG] a club with a lot of money, that is true, but it is only now in a good position to achieve glory in the most coveted trophy in Europe.’
Pinto adds PSG doesn’t have the same status as Liverpool, Arsenal, Barcelona or Real Madrid. In short, he claims the Premier League duo or the La Liga giants are bigger than PSG and would be a career boost for Vitinha.
It’s worth noting Pinto is only sharing his views on the player and there’s no claims of Liverpool or Arsenal interest in Vitinha yet.
