Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Léo Bonatini could be on his way to Portugal, according to reports this Thursday.

Newspaper A Bola claims the player is leaving Wolves on a loan spell, and has a chance to be joining Vitória de Guimarães.

It’s said there have been ‘many’ contacts between Bonatini, Wolverhampton and Vitória, who are in search of a striker for the season.

The player is said to be ‘pleased’ with the possibility of joining such a club, especially because they could be featuring in the group stages of the Europa League this season.

Bonatini has already made his name in Portugal, where he’s left a good impression playing for Estoril, having scored 24 goals in 53 matches for the club.

He left the country to play for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, and after that, he made the move to Wolves, first on a loan, then permanently.

After not getting a lot of playing time under Nuno Espírito Santo in the early stages of last season, Bonatini spent the second part of it on loan at Nottingham Forest.
